With this in mind, Owen captured his father, chained him up, and fed him hearts to fix him. Owen believed this desire for hearts was to regain their life, and a heart would cure their zombie-like state. The reanimated Black Lanterns battled with the Rogues because they violently sought hearts. To their dismay, Black Power Rings brought the dead back to life, including Owen’s father. This whole time, Owen was looking for purpose after his father’s death, but he would soon be reunited with him in a way he never saw coming. This journey led Owen to the current Robin, Tim Drake because both their fathers died at the same time. All of these groups were an attempt for Owen to find a family he never had and to replace the father he lost too early.
